Jennifer Morris

Wild Heart Yoga Adventures is dedicated to promoting good health, cultivating compassion, and happiness in daily life through yoga, making connections with others, and encouraging our community to be active in the outdoors as much as possible. Jen and her husband Chris Buckley have a great vision for their Wild Heart Yoga & Wellness Studio at Mill 3.

Jen Morris has been teaching group exercise classes:  Kickboxing, Step Aerobics, and personal training in the Plymouth, NH area since 1995 at various gyms, workplace programs, and at events.   She was co-owner of “Simply Fit” a group exercise studio in Campton, NH before having her two boys, Sawyer and Carter in the early 2000s. In 2005, she went on to coordinate group exercise programming at the Hartman Union Building at Plymouth State University and continued her teaching there and started her own bootcamp business.

Also in 2005 Jen began practicing yoga and teaching poses in her children’s classrooms.  She began to search out more classes for herself and became more serious in her practice.

In October, 2013 Jen was diagnosed with Stage 2b Breast Cancer.  She underwent two surgeries, 4 months of chemotherapy, and 6 ½ weeks of radiation treatment.  Yoga and walking (and a lot of support from family and friends) kept her feeling human throughout treatment and gave her the energy and strength to finish.

Since then, after making a full recovery from, and thriving since cancer, Jen studied with Katie O’Connell, at Dragonfly Yoga Barn, Studio and Retreat in NH and received her 200hr certification with roots in BKS Iyengar.  She is a 200 RYT with Yoga Alliance, and is currently training for her 300hr yoga teacher certification with Katie O'Connell at Dragonfly Yoga Barn and Studio.

When she isn’t teaching, you can find her cooking up something delicious from her garden, hanging with her two teenage boys, Sawyer and Carter, her husband, Chris, hiking in the White Mountains with their beagle, Leo, and their yellow lab, Luna, running and hanging with her girl posse, or biking to the grocery store on her xtracycle.  She spends her summer free time on local lakes and ponds on her paddleboard, and her winter free time Nordic and alpine skiing with her family.
